Privacy policy
Plain-language version: we do not collect your data. The calculators run in your browser. Third-party ads and affiliate links, if present, have their own cookies.
What we collect
Nothing you type. Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript delivered with the page. Hours, pay rates, dates and headcounts you enter are processed on your device and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. There are no accounts, logins, forms or newsletters.
No cookies from us. PayrollCalcs does not set cookies, local storage or any other identifier. We do not run analytics scripts, tag managers, fonts or other third-party code on the page itself.
Server logs. The site is served by a hosting provider (currently Cloudflare Pages). Like any web host, it may record standard technical information when a page is requested: IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, and timestamp. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running; we do not use them to identify or profile visitors. Cloudflare’s own practices are described in its privacy policy.
Advertising and affiliate links
To keep the calculators free, pages may contain:
- Affiliate links to payroll and HR software, labeled “Sponsored / affiliate links.” If you click one, the destination site or its affiliate network may set a cookie on your device so that a later purchase is credited to us. That cookie is controlled by the advertiser or network, not by us, and is governed by their privacy policy.
- Display advertising, which may in future be served by a network such as Google AdSense. Third-party ad vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. When advertising is active, a consent mechanism will be shown where required by law.
We do not share any information with advertisers or affiliates ourselves; we have none to share.
Your choices
- Block third-party cookies in your browser; the calculators work without them.
- Use a content blocker; the calculators work without ads.
- Print or save results locally; we never see them.
Children
This site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
International visitors
The site covers US federal law and is hosted on a global content-delivery network. Because we collect no personal data, we do not process it in any jurisdiction. Rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and similar laws therefore have nothing to act upon with respect to us; for advertising and affiliate cookies, exercise your rights with the third party that set them.
Changes
If we begin collecting anything, or add analytics or advertising, this page will be updated first and the effective date above will change.
